On the occasion of India March for Science, competitions are being held this week in various colleges across Bangalore. Today competitions are being held at SJR Degree college for women, Rajajinagar. The competitions were inaugrated by Prof. Prajval Shastri, Astrophysicist. Competitions being held are lecture competition, Speak on a scientist, draw a scientist, collage making, poster making. Topics given for these competitions are: 1) Conservation of Energy, 2) Superstitious beliefs- negative effects on human lives, 3) Climate change- effects and prevention, 4) scientific solutions to social problems- river water management, waste management, etc, 5) scientific solutions to present medical crisis.
